Shop Account Information: When registering a shop, we collect the owner email address for login verification via email magic links. We also collect physical shop details including business name, city (Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad/Rawalpindi), plaza name, floor, shop number, physical street address, phone number, and WhatsApp number.
Shop Media: Shop facade photos, logos, and hardware listing photos uploaded to our image storage.
Buyer Inquiries and Contact Data: When a buyer requests a hardware hold or submits a lead inquiry to contact a physical shop, we collect the buyer's name and telephone number so the shop can identify the customer and hold the requested unit at their physical counter. We also collect aggregated interaction metrics (such as clicks to reveal phone numbers or initiate WhatsApp conversations).
Usage and Analytics Data: Anonymous performance and usage metrics, including page views, hardware search queries, device type, and referring links.
Technical Identifiers: Session tokens and authentication cookies strictly necessary to maintain verified seller logins. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising networks.

2. Why We Collect This Information

We process this data for clear business and operational purposes:

To publish the verified shop directory so buyers can find and contact physical shops.
To display accurate hardware listings, specifications, and physical counter locations.
To facilitate buyer-shop inquiries by relaying buyer names and contact numbers for hardware reservations and holds directly to the relevant shop.
To verify shop authenticity and counter fraud, stolen goods, and unauthorized dealers.
To maintain account security and provide seller dashboard access.
To monitor platform reliability, prevent scraping, and safeguard system infrastructure in accordance with the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA).

3. Cloudflare as Infrastructure Processor

resale.com.pk is hosted entirely on Cloudflare infrastructure:

Cloudflare D1: Encrypted serverless database storing shop directory records, listing metadata, policy acceptances, and buyer hold/lead inquiries.
Cloudflare R2: Object storage for shop and hardware imagery.
Cloudflare Workers & KV: Edge computing and caching to deliver fast server-rendered HTML.

Cloudflare processes web requests on our behalf under industry-standard data protection safeguards.

4. Public and Shared Information

The following shop information is displayed publicly on resale.com.pk:

Shop name, city, market address, and floor/shop numbers.
Public phone numbers and WhatsApp contact links provided for buyer inquiries.
Published hardware listings, condition descriptions, and pricing in PKR.
Shop facade and logo photos.

Owner login email addresses, internal verification notes, and administrative audit logs are strictly private and never published. Buyer names and phone numbers submitted for hardware holds or inquiries are shared exclusively with the specific shop contacted to fulfill the inquiry and are never sold or published publicly.

5. Data Retention

We retain active shop profiles and listings as long as the seller maintains an active account on the platform. Historical policy acceptances and audit records are retained indefinitely for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and contractual verification.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and review the business information recorded for your shop.
Update your shop profile, address, operating hours, and contact information through the seller dashboard.
Request the removal or deactivation of your shop profile by emailing us.
Request deletion of your account data, subject to mandatory fraud prevention and record-keeping requirements under Pakistani law.
