The Resale.com.pk standard

Condition grades, explained

Every listing on Resale.com.pk carries one of six grades. The shop sets it; this page is the standard it is set against.

Last updated Applies to every verified shop

The six grades

From sealed to spares, best first. Market words beside a grade are not grades; see what they mean below.

  1. New

    Sealed, unopened

    Heard as box pack

  2. Open box

    Opened, unused

    Heard as open box

  3. Grade A

    Excellent — no visible wear

    Heard as 10/10 9/10

  4. Grade B

    Good — light cosmetic wear

    Heard as 9/10

  5. Grade C

Fair — visible wear, fully functional

  6. For parts

    Not fully functional

Who sets the grade

The shop sets the grade and lists every known defect next to it. Resale.com.pk publishes this standard, but we do not inspect units.

A grade says how the unit looks and works; the defect list says exactly what is wrong. Read both, and check the unit at the counter before you pay.

Grades mean the same in every category. The shops themselves are checked in person: see how we verify shops.

Found a wrong grade?

  1. Open the listing.

  2. Open “Report this listing” and choose “Other issue”.

  3. Say what the grade should be and why. Sign in first if you want us to be able to reach you.

Battery health

Used laptops, mobiles and tablets can show battery health as a percentage, set by the shop: how much charge the battery holds today compared with when it was new.

Check it at the counter

Windows laptop
Run “powercfg /batteryreport” in Command Prompt, open the report it saves, and compare Full charge capacity with Design capacity.
MacBook
System Settings › Battery › the (i) next to Battery Health: Maximum Capacity.
iPhone
Settings › Battery › Battery Health & Charging: Maximum Capacity.
